Thomas Watson Teasdale

'Tommy' Teasdale was the son of Slingsby Wallace Teasdale (1840-1896) and Elizabeth Watson (1839-1888). He was christened 19. April 1868 in Rosedale Abbey, a village in the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire, approximately 8 miles (13 km) north-west from Pickering and 8 miles south-east from Castleton.
He married the widow Elizabeth Ann (Hendy) Fluen on 27. October 1928 in St Aidan's Church, Middlesbrough. He worked as bricklayer and stone mason.

However like to Elizabeth's children, he also was the step-father to Sarah's children out of her first marriage to Thomas William Robinson (1862-1892):
(1) John Henry Robinson (1888-1954) married to Rosanna Taylor (1895-1977)
(2) Thomas William Robinson born 1889 married to Mary Elizabeth Hughes
(3) Martha Keturah Robinson (1891-1918) married to Henry Vanstone (1883-1916)
Note: Their daughters, Elizabeth Kirk nee Vanstone (1913-1986) and Irene Martin nee Vanstone (1915-1996), were brought up in the household of their maternal uncle, John Henry Robinson who lived with his wife 72 Lumley Street. It was not far from their maternal step-grandfather, Tommy Teasdale, who resided with his second wife in 90 Lumley Street back then. Also during the war both sisters were used to live their uncle's house (C 1939), at least for a certain while.
Short after Eliza Ann's death THOMAS WATSON TEASDALE had a heart attack and died in 90 Lumley Street, 09. November 1948. His step-daughter, Ivy May Scurrah nee Fluen of 116 Lumley Street was present at his death. He was buried in the same plot as his other step-daughter, Martha Keturah (Linthorpe Cemetary, plot 2871 ).
